100% new wool is wool that is obtained exclusively by shearing live animals. New wool is a true miracle fibre, tried and tested over thousands of years, a piece of unadulterated nature. Loden blankets have been produced in our company for almost 600 years. We process only the best types of wool from Europe, New Zealand, South America and Australia (non-mulesed wool).
New wool - the oldest high-tech fibre in the world
Wool is a high-tech fibre by nature. A renewable raw material, biodegradable and therefore a 100% natural fibre. Thanks to the construction, structure and natural lanolin (wool fat), new wool is breathable, temperature balancing, odour neutral, soft and smooth, quiet and soothing.
Loden blankets and wool blankets from Lodenwalker Ramsau
For our blankets we mix different types of raw wool. This wool blend makes our blankets resilient, soft and smooth. As one of the last companies in the world, we roughen our wool blankets using natural thistles. This has been the case for centuries. This genlte treatment makes our blankets particularly fluffy.
Our blankets are particularly suitable for snuggling up on the couch, for a blanket at a picnic or as a duvet (cloth) for people who love natural fibres.
